Next Champ Camp: Starts Tuesday 10th March 2009 Heard all about the acknowledged benefits of boxing training? Ever wanted to experience it yourself? Champ Camp is a 4 week, boxing based fitness program exposing people to the addictive nature of boxing by preparing them as a boxer would for an upcoming fight. The greatest benefit of boxing may well be the training and preparation needed to reach fighting level. Indeed, the focus of Champ Camp is to realize the many benefits of boxing without the emphasis on the actual fighting aspect of the sport: Going the distance over 12 rounds (3 sessions per week) your weekly routine includes specific boxing training and drills, upper and lower body work, running, strength, endurance, plyometrics and core training. You will progress from the basics of the "sweet science" to fighting fit. The typical boxing training session stimulates all muscle groups, and provides the perfect combination of aerobic (with oxygen) and anaerobic (short-burst, without oxygen) exercise. Indeed, the boxers' workout is guaranteed to get anyone into the best shape of their lives and will develop new levels of concentration, confidence and self esteem. Champ Camp is DEFINITELY NOT Boot Camp! Why not? It is more substance than show and not about a trainer running around in cammo gear blasting clients. It is sport specific, results based training, suitable for males and females of all fitness and activity levels. Contender Fitness makes a strong commitment to nurturing each individual, enabling all participants to gain maximum enjoyment from Champ Camp whilst being able to reach the health and fitness levels they aspire to. All sessions are conducted under the instruction of a State Government Licensed Boxing Trainer and Fully Qualified and Registered Personal Trainer.
